On behalf of NASAA and your hosts, the Texas Commission on the Arts, thank you for your participation in Assembly 2010! Conference proceedings and other follow-up resources will be posted to our site shortly.
Why Should You Participate?

NASAA is your community. Whether you are a staff member or volunteer, NASAA meetings are a singular opportunity to compare notes with your colleagues and be part of an influential national network of arts leaders.
Learn new ideas and skills that you can adapt to your own work. Assembly 2010 will share the latest trends from inside and outside of the state arts agency field. You'll learn how other states are coping with economic hardships and bring home ideas you can apply to your own programs, policies and political situation.
Get inspired. NASAA meetings are a great way to stimulate your own creative thinking and learn how to inspire others to recognize—and invest in!—the essential work of state arts agencies.
The entire Assembly benefits from your participation. Every state has unique perspectives and valuable experiences to share. By participating in the conference, you enhance the learning and networking opportunities available to all.
And, as always, there will be FUN. The Texas Commission on the Arts will be showcasing outstanding Texas talent during the conference. After hours, you will be able to enjoy Austin's renowned cultural attractions, active night life and natural amenities.
Travel justification tips: To assist you with developing justifications to attend Assembly 2010, NASAA has issued an updated Travel Justification Tips document. This document—which you are free to adapt and excerpt—outlines why your agency's participation in Assembly 2010 is essential and describes how your trip to Austin could benefit your state. In addition, NASAA can offer a variety of flexible options for processing registration and travel expenses. Contact Dennis Dewey for additional information.
