The Arts & Transportation: New Policies and Partners

You are invited to join us on Thursday, July 11 for a special web seminar exploring opportunities for the arts and transportation. This session, a collaborative offering of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and NASAA, will brief you on new MAP-21 policies and will showcase exemplary efforts integrating the arts and transportation into community livability, sustainability and creative placemaking. Speakers will include representatives from the NEA and the United States Department of Transportation as well as state and local arts and transportation projects.

The seminar takes place on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 3:00-4:15 p.m. Eastern. Please plan to log on a few minutes early so that we can begin promptly.

SAA Staff and Council Registration

Registration is free for all state arts agency staff members and council members. SAA staff and council members may participate in the seminar from your agency office, another workplace, your home, or anywhere else you have access to a computer and phone line. To register, use our web seminar registration form. If you have any questions or concerns regarding registration, please contact Eric Giles and include your name, title, agency name and phone number in your e-mail.

For Your Constituents and Partners

To manage costs and keep these sessions free for state arts agencies, NASAA does place some limits on participation by others. Please note, however, that we provide three easy ways for state arts agencies to make this seminar accessible to your agency's partners and constituents:

  • Secure a guest login. NASAA has reserved up to three guest logins per state for this session. You may request guest logins to invite specific individuals (state agency representatives, constituents, partners, consultants, etc.) whom you think may be interested in this seminar. Contact Eric Giles for guest invitation instructions.

  • Gather as a group. You may invite as many additional people as you wish—state colleagues or constituents—to join you in viewing the session at your office or another central location. If you plan to invite a group to view the seminar along with you, please indicate this in your seminar registration e-mail.

  • Distribute the session transcripts afterward. Audio files, visuals and full text transcripts of NASAA web seminars are available at

NASAA's mission is to strengthen state arts agencies.
