News and Current Information

Save the (NEW) dates!
In order to avoid overlapping meeting dates with the Southern Arts Federation's (SAF) Performing Arts Exchange, and to ensure maximum member participation, NASAA has changed the dates for our 2008 annual conference in Chattanooga, TN. Please note these new dates: September 10-14, 2008. Many thanks to Rich Boyd and the Tennessee Arts Commission for helping us manage this change.

And make sure you've got Dec 6-9, 2007, on your calendar for the annual conference in Baltimore, MD. Planning is underway and we're looking forward to a great meeting in a great city.

A new year and a new plan for NASAA.
NASAA is reorganizing its staffing configuration to position ourselves for implementing the new strategic plan approved by the membership in September, 2006. Roles and responsibilities are being realigned and new staff members will be coming on board during the spring and summer of 2007. Keep an eye out for position announcements at www.nasaa-arts.org and help us get the word out.

Also, a warm farewell and “good luck” to Pat Hanley, Jonathan’s executive assistant, who has resigned from NASAA due to increasing family obligations. Pat’s contributions to NASAA over the past seven years have been invaluable and she will be sorely missed.

NASAA's listservs are back in action after switching to a new server and ironing out some technical glitches. The following lists are currently active:

There are several improvements in the new lists, most notably the ability to search archives and message threads on previous topics. Information on listservs and "FAQs" can be reviewed at http://www.culturemail.org.
