Medici's Lever: The Cultural Policy Game

Dr. Lilia Maria Delgado has died and left behind a half-billion dollars to establish a new foundation with the mission of advancing the cultural life of San Jose. As board chair, your job is to hire a CEO and to set policy over the next 40 years to accomplish this mission. Which candidate has the most appropriate theory of arts and cultural development for your community? Which investments are most strategic for the foundation? Should you spend down the endowment principal?

Try your hand at answering these questions and increasing cultural vitality in the Medici's Lever game, created using isee systems's iThink model. Medici's Lever is the final project of Cultural Initiatives, an organization that worked to implement a 10-year cultural plan for Silicon Valley from 1996 to 2006.
