The Federal Government, States and the Arts
By congressional mandate, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) allocates 40% of its annual grant-making dollars to state arts agencies and their regional arts organizations. Return on Investment: The Federal Government, States and the Arts provides a one-page overview of the relationship between the NEA and state arts agencies. Also, NASAA produces an NEA Fact Sheet providing a succinct set of talking points that highlight the importance of the state-federal partnership in supporting the arts.
