The Federal Government, States and the Arts

Cover of Return on Investment: The Federal Government, States and the Arts

By congressional mandate, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) allocates 40% of its annual grant-making dollars to state arts agencies and their regional arts organizations. Return on Investment: The Federal Government, States and the Arts provides a one-page overview of the relationship between the NEA and state arts agencies. Also, NASAA produces an NEA Fact Sheet providing a succinct set of talking points that highlight the importance of the state-federal partnership in supporting the arts.

Custom State Maps and Fact Sheets

NASAA members can request customized maps showing the distribution of NEA and state arts agency grants by a variety of geographies, including U.S. congressional districts and state legislative districts. Custom NEA fact sheets with state maps and state level talking points also can be generated for members upon request.

NASAA's mission is to strengthen state arts agencies.
