Learning Services Manager

The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is recruiting a Learning Services Manager to coordinate virtual and in-person learning services for NASAA's member agencies. The individual in this position facilitates the delivery of high-quality programs that enhance the knowledge, leadership expertise and career development of state arts agency staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a year-round series of Web seminars.
- Administer Web conferencing systems used for virtual convenings. Train staff, presenters and participants to use those tools.
- Assist with organizing topical sessions, breakout groups and peer gatherings at NASAA conferences.
- Coordinate communications and scheduling with presenters.
- Secure session agreements, speaker bios and other key documents.
- Identify speakers' A/V, equipment, supply and room setup needs.
- Organize training materials, session transcripts, presentations and other program documentation.
- Encourage exemplary instructional design and facilitation practices.
- Consult with NASAA staff and members. Invite feedback and gather ideas for future sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree plus 2-5 years of work experience.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Fluency with multiple technologies. Strong proficiency with presentation software, spreadsheets and word processing are required, as is the ability to quickly master new Web conferencing and communications systems.
- Conscientious attention to detail.
- Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communications.
- A commitment to public service and teamwork.
Expertise in a related field (arts management, adult education, training, instructional design, leadership development, communications or human resources) is desirable. Prior experience working in an association, a public agency or a client-centered environment will also be an advantage.

The program associate provides program and project support to the CEO. The program associate is responsible for specific program and administrative tasks as assigned by the CEO, with particular emphasis on project research, board and governance activities, and communications with NASAA members and board. This position requires creative decision making and provides hands-on, practical arts administration experience as well as the opportunity to participate in meeting organizational culture goals. Due to the unique nature of this position, it is appropriate for either part-time or full-time employment. Salary range: mid-20s to high 30's. Core Responsibilities
Administrative
- Develop and manage systems for efficient internal and external information sharing
- Create and prioritize the CEO's action agenda
- Serve as liaison to staff and Board regarding CEO activities
- Maintain contact data and manage routine CEO-member contacts
- Prepare routine correspondence and follow-up on behalf of the CEO
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Handle all travel arrangements; prepare itineraries
- Schedule all appointments with NASAA members and colleagues
Research
- Develop and disseminate quarterly CEO project research schedules
- Undertake research and/or information gathering and synthesis
- Develop relevant materials (reports, summaries, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
Governance
- Develop and disseminate board and executive committee meeting materials
- Schedule and arrange board and executive committee conference calls
- Draft meeting minutes, action agendas and assist staff in follow-up
- Track and document committee, board and member in-kind contributions

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Masters in Arts Administration
- some experience in arts management preferred
- demonstrated experience with MS Office software
